Amazon Alexa Voice Service

The Alexa Voice Service (AVS) is a component of Amazon’s Alexa Skills Kit. When deploying the Amazon Alexa Voice Service API developers can use microphones and speakers to enable the voice functionality in cloud-connected products. The voice integration transforms the products into Alexa-compliant gadgets capable of accessing a variety of functionalities such as audio playback and speech recognition as well as volume control. The API sends requests and returns responses in JSON format. Developers must use the Login with Amazon portal to access the API’s authentication token.
