The API allows applications to integrate general platform management functions, and to automate some business processes. API methods implement direct listing from and control of database tables via SOAP requests. Methods also support interaction with Import Sets. Strict security measures implement WS-Security 1.1 using WSS X.509 Token Profile and WSS Username Token Profile.
